The International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, at the Hague Monday requested arrest warrants for Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi, his son Seif Islam Kadafi and his intelligence chief, accusing them of crimes against humanity, Los Angeles Times reported. Moreno-Ocampo said that senior Kadafi officials had made clear in phone calls last week that they were willing to provide incriminating information. Judges at the ICC are evaluating the evidence submitted by Moreno-Ocamp and will decide whether to issue the arrest warrants.

Meiling Villa, a cultural relic unit under state protection where late Soong May-ling lived, is currently used as a first-class restaurant, the Yangtze Evening Post revealed. Wedding ceremonies are held at the establishment, making the palace a mess, a reporter visiting the villa said. According to a staff member, the villa has been dining people for 7 or 8 years; it is not available for outsiders and only acquaintances of insiders can reserve a table. The minimum service charge is RMB200 a person but there is no ceiling for price, the staffer added.

The lawyer for a woman who says she was sexually assaulted by Dominique Strauss-Kahn 9 years ago said Monday she will file a legal complaint against the International Monetary Fund chief. Lawyer David Koubbi says Tristane Banon, a writer, did not file suit earlier due to "pressures" and was dissuaded by her own mother, a regional Socialist official. Strauss-Kahn — a possible Socialist contender in France's 2012 presidential race — is in custody in New York after being accused of a weekend sexual assault against a hotel maid.

The alleged sexual assault took place when Tristane Banon was interviewing Strauss-Kahn, a former French finance minister, in an apartment. Banon said Kahn acted like a "rutting chimpanzee". She said he insisted on holding her hand during the interview and then made advances at her. "It ended really badly. We ended up fighting. It finished really violently. We fought on the floor. It wasn't a case of a couple of slaps. I kicked him, he unhooked my bra, he tried to open my jeans," she said.

An investigation is under way for a US mother who allegedly gave an anti-wrinkle Botox injection to her 8-year-old daughter, AP reported. Botox shots can be painful and aren't recommended for anyone under the age of 18. The girl, a beauty pageant contestant, said she experiences pain and sometimes cries a little, but has gotten used to the injections and looks better after the treatment.

Former Olympic marathon champion Samuel Wanjiru (see photo) was killed after falling from a balcony at his home in Kenya Sunday night, AP reported. The fall happened after his wife allegedly caught him in bed with another woman, the report said. National police spokesman Eric Kiraithe said the 24-year-old runner committed suicide, while Jasper Ombati, the regional police chief, said he jumped to stop his wife from leaving the house after she discovered him with another woman. The balcony is between 13 and 19 feet high and the runner landed on a hard surface. Police said he suffered internal injuries and was confirmed dead by doctors at a nearby hospital.

A bus driver in Rome who was caught using 2 cellphones and steering with his elbows while driving has been suspended, local media reported. Video of the driver, who was taking passengers to Rome's Ciampino Airport, showed him talking on one phone while trying to configure his e-mail on the other one. Using just one mobile phone while driving is illegal in Italy. The local governor condemned the driver's actions as "unacceptable and reckless".(See photo)
