http://www.sina.com.cn2010年01月19日 14:45 中国日报网英语点津酒店连锁企业假日酒店拟于1月底在伦敦和曼彻斯特的分店试行5分钟免费人工暖床服务，以帮助客人更好地入眠。目前，该连锁酒店正在招聘“暖床员”。据悉，“暖床员”将会穿着特制的连体睡衣在客人上床之前进行暖床。爱丁堡睡眠中心主任表示，科学研究证明入夜人体温度开始下降的时候人才开始进入睡眠状态，而温度在20到24摄氏度的床让人们更易入睡；假日酒店新推出的这个“暖床”服务就可以做到这一点。
英酒店提供人工暖床服务A hotel chain is employing human bed warmers to help guests get a good night's sleep。
The walking electric blankets aredressed in special all-in-onesleeper suits and are sent to warm thebeds of guests staying at theHoliday Inn before they get under thecovers。
Dr Chris Idzikowski, director of the Edinburgh Sleep Centre, said the idea could help people get off to sleep。
He said: ''There's plenty ofscientific evidence to show that sleepstarts at the beginning of thenight when body temperature starts todrop. The decline occurs partlybecause the blood vessels of the hands,face and feet open up andrelease heat。
“A warm bed – approximately 20 to 24degrees Celsius – is a good wayto start this process whereas a coldbed would inhibit sleep. HolidayInn's new bed warmers service shouldhelp people achieve a good night'ssleep especially as it's taking muchlonger for them to warm up when theycome in from the snow.”
Holiday Inn spokeswoman Jane Bednallsaid the idea was ''like havinga giant hot water bottle in your bed''.The five minute free bed warmingsessions are being tried out in Londonand Manchester at the end ofJanuary。
