      superb

      excellent

      magnificent

            这组形容词常用来表示赞叹、赞美。

      wonderful “美妙的”、“精彩的”、“了不起的”指新奇、罕见、出乎意料，使人很感兴趣，而且也很惊奇，有羡慕之意。

1) What a wonderful memory he has.

           （这是他的一个多么美妙的记忆。）

         2) I really enjoyed the wonderful performance they play last night.

       （我真的很喜欢他们昨晚演出那个精彩表演。）

marvelous  “令人惊异的”、“非凡的”“奇妙的”、“不可思议的”，语气比wonderful强，指某物或某人异常超凡。

        1) The Russian players' water ballet is unique and marvelous.

           （俄罗斯运动员的水上芭蕾是独一无二的,令人叹服。）

        2）What a marvelous carving! It is an excellent work of art.

            （好神奇的一件雕刻呀！真是一件精美的艺术作品。）

3) He showed marvelous insight over the description of American characters in his new book.

           （在他的新书中，他在描述美国人性格上显示出了非凡的洞察力。）

       splendid   “壮观的”、“非凡的”、“杰出的”，“极好的”。指某物有非凡的优点，或某人才华出众，极为优秀。

1) The performance was very splendid and we enjoyed it very much.

           （表演非常精彩,我们玩得很开心。）

  2) With diligence and wisdom, the Chinese nation created a splendid civilization and made significant contributions to the progress of humanity.

 （用自己的勤劳和智慧, 中华民族创造了灿烂的文明，对人类进步作出了重大贡献。）

       superb   “上等的”、“一流的”、“极佳的”，多用于形容物。

1) The hall looks rather magnificent, elegantly decorated with a great variety of superb ornaments.

 （大厅看起来相当宏伟,用各种精湛的装饰物将大厅装饰很优雅美观。）

       2）We have built a new campus at Songjiang with superb teaching and studying facilities.

          （我们在松江建造了一所新的校园，有一流的教学和学习的设施。）

       excellent  “极好的”、“卓越的”、“杰出的”，多用于人形容极其优秀或极好的事物。

1) Lang Ping is not only an excellent volleyball player, but also a successful coach.

          （郎平不仅是一位优秀排球运动员,但也是一为成功的教练员。）

2) I must say your food is excellent but your service leaves much to be desired.

          （我必须说你的食物很精美极了,但是你们的服务还有待提高。）

       magnificent  “宏伟的”、“壮观的”、“华丽的”，多用于形容物体富丽堂皇、光彩夺目，宏伟壮观

       1）At the northwest of the square stands a magnificent building, Shanghai Grand Theater.

           （广场的西北矗立着一座雄伟的建筑 —— 上海大剧院。）

         2) Except for magnificent lanterns, fireworks form a beautiful scene at the eve of the Festive.

          （除了华丽的灯笼，烟火也为节日前夕形成一个美妙的景色。
