铁道部公安局透露，为防范不法分子套购车票高价倒卖坑害旅客，铁道部公安局作出部署，自即日起在全国铁路公安机关集中开展打击倒票“蓝盾”专项行动，对票贩子集中围剿，并要求各级铁路机关建立票贩子信息数据库，形成全路信息共享的打击平台。

为了打击火车票黄牛党，铁道部公安局宣布今年将建立全国票贩子“黑名单”。
在英语中，ticket scalping就是“倒卖票”。这里scalp原指“头皮”，在17世纪，scalp延伸为“战利品”——北美印第安人与敌人交战时，若取胜，常把对方的头皮剥下来作为“战利品”。再之后，scalp指“转手倒卖并从中获利”，可做动词，如to scalp tickets to the baseball game（倒卖棒球比赛的门票）。
相应的，倒卖票的“黄牛”可用ticket scalper来形容。另外，在英国俚语中，spiv也可用来指代“黄牛”，骗子，票贩子。
