My parents are proud of me since I did well in the NEPCS and was chosen to come to this summer camp. I think I will make the most of this summer camp so that I won’t make my parents disappointed. This is my first time away from home and I hope I can make lots of friends here so that I won’t miss my family and Dingding—my pet dog too much.

Thank you.(104词)

Boy: Does he live with you?

   Girl: That’s right!

Q: Where does the conversation probably happen?

7. Boy: Right. Your surname is Peters. P-E-T-E-R-S?

    Girl: That’s right. Sarah Peters.

Boy: Tell me a little bit about yourself.

Girl: Well, I was born in New York on January 4th, 1973 and lived there until I was ten. Then we moved to London.

Boy: So you want to find a job here?

    Girl: Right.

Q: How old is Sarah Peters?

 8. Girl: History is really an interesting lesson! I like it. I’m sure I can pass the exam.

Section III. Passage

Listen to the letter and then choose the best answer. The letter will be read twice.

Dear Susan,

I am back in Brighton now after a great holiday with Rose in Dublin. I really enjoyed it.

We travelled by train and ship. I hated the ship journey—I tried to sleep, but it was very difficult. We were both very tired when we arrived, but her parents were wonderful. We stayed with them for four weeks and they cooked lovely meals for us. I practised my English all the time.

We visited Rose’s friends and also some of Dublin’s beautiful buildings. The castle was closed so we didn’t go in; we just looked at the outside. I liked the university very much. What a great place to be a student! I also loved the pubs, with their music and friendly people. The weather was bad, it was very wet, but everything else was fine.

See you when you come back to Brighton.

                                                                                           Love,

                                                                                           Kate
