家裡養寵物的人，多數都有被牠們吵醒的經驗，但如果狗叫聲像「空襲警報」，主人可能不只被叫醒，甚至是被「嚇」醒的。網路上有一部影片，主人把每天愛犬叫全家起床的叫聲PO上網，獨特嗓音讓人印象深刻！
這隻哈士奇「露娜」(Luna)是隻漂亮的母狗，而牠有個嗜好，最愛在清晨「播放」空襲警報給全家聽。影片中露娜先在沙發上就定位，仰頭拉長音鳴叫，規律的節奏，還會控制大小聲，聽起來就像是空襲警報的聲音。
影片快結束前，主人忍不住跟愛犬告白 I Love You，不過露娜看了他一眼，好像在說「少來這套，說愛我也沒用，還是要起床……」接著盡職的跑到隔壁繼續叫大夥「起床囉！」

Question
How do I stop my dog from barking at 6am at the weekend? She is a 5 month old Golden Retriever and she has a kennel run outside of the house. From Monday to Friday I get up early for work and if I don't feed her when she hears the car go down the gravel she will start barking and wake everyone in the house up. At the weekend when i don't work I relish the thought of sleeping past 5 am however she starts barking bang on 6am and will not stop until I feed her. I have read techniques on ignoring, shaking cans with stones in them but the problem is when she hears the door open, she knows I'm coming and stops barking until I get to the kennel, I open the door ( she cant see me coming and I cant see her as it is like a little hut. Just wondered if you could help me as I would love to sleep past 6am. Thanks

The key to most behavior problems is approaching things using the dog's natural instincts. Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog. Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones. You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat.
