以上三个题目，有老师来问我说refer to, speak of与come to作“谈及，说到”讲时的区别以及affair, matter和event作“事情”讲时的区别。其实这三个题目考的就是一个习惯表达而不是词义辨析。学生从词义辨析的角度去解题很可能辨析来辨析去越辩越糊涂，费力不讨好，花了大量时间却做出一个错误答案。老师也从词义辨析的角度去讲解这三个题的话，学生被弄得稀里糊涂，下次碰到这个题目他又从词义辨析的角度辨析来辨析去时间用了一大把，结果自己对答案还是半信半疑没把握。这就是老师走进教学误区导致的恶果！其实老师只要要学生记住when it comes to doing sth. 和 a matter of personal taste这两个短语，把它们读得滚瓜烂熟就是了。这样做题时就会又快又准！a matter of personal taste也可以翻译成“个人品味的问题”，我不禁要问，是不是也要把matter和problem, question放到一起辨析一下呢？显然不要！
