Unit 3 What are you doing for vacation ? (Section A)

[教学目标]
1.能认读并拼写单词:babysit , camp .
2.能熟练运用现在进行时表示将来,并用what / when /who对句中的事件,时间,人物等提问.
[教学重点]
理解并运用what等词引导表将来计划的特殊疑问句 .
[教学难点]
Be+ Ving现在进行时结构表示将来.
[教学过程]
Step 1 Organization
T:Good morning!
S:Good morning!
T:How are you?
S:I’m fine,thank you .And you ?
T:I’m fine ,too .
Step 2  Lead- in
T:Now let’s go over some phrases .Please say out the phrases about vacation activities as soon as possible .
S1: go to the beach/ go shopping.
S2: go to the movies /visit my friends.
S3: watch TV / go to the zoo / play chess.
S4: play the piano ….
(学生争先恐后地说出一些自己想到的假期活动的短语,为下文做铺垫.)
T:You are great! Now,please look at the screen. I have prepared some phrases for you . Who can lead the reading ?
(在屏幕上展示一些短语,让学生反复领读)
T:Taday is September 17th. National Day is coming , we’ll have a vacation .Are you happy ? Taday ,we are going to have a new lesson.
(板书课题: Unit 3 What are you doing for vacation ?)
Step 3 Presentation
(在屏幕上展示图片及假期活动的短语,根据图片进行师生问答.)
T:What are you doing for vacation ?
S:I’m going shopping .
T:What are you doing for vacation ?
Ss: I’m going shopping .
(出示另一张图片, 学习新单词.让学生根据图片猜测一下babysit是什么意思.指导领读.)
T:What are you doing for vacation ?
S:I’m babysitting my brother .
T:What are you doing for vacation ?
Ss: I’m babysitting my brother.
(出示:What is he/she doing for vacation ?
What are they doing for vacation ?
继续以师生问答的形式学新句型及新单词.在此提示学生注意人称的变换.)
T:Boys and girls! Can you ask and answer like this ? OK,now practice the conversation in pairs.(让学生两人一组问答.)
T: Well done! Who would like to come to the front ? Interview your classmates what they are doing for vacation .(在学生能够掌握句型的情况下,鼓励学生去采访其他同学.)
Step 4 Listening
T: The vacation is coming. Jane,Sharon,Michael are taking a vacation. What are they doing for vacation ? Do you want to know ? Now , let’s listen to the tape , finish activity 1b .
(播放两遍,然后核对答案.)
Step 5 Pairwork
T: Your listening is great ! Now ,I prepare a conversation for you .Who can read the conversation for the class?
A:  What are you doing next weekend ?
B:  I’m visiting my teacher.
A:  That sounds great .
What is your friend doing next weekend?
B:  She/He is going shopping.
A:  Who is she going  with ?
B:  She/He is going with her/his mother.
(让两名学生读屏幕上的对话,然后编新对话并在课堂上表演出来.提示学生注意彩色字体.)
Step 6 Watch a video
Watch a video and answer the two questions.

(让学生观看一段视频,在放松的同时能更好地理解现在进行时所表达的意义.第一个问题表达正在进行的动作;第二个问题表达将来的计划.)
Step 7 Groupwork (Have an interview)
T: National Day is coming,we’ll have a seven-day vacation.What are you doing for vacation.? What about your classmates? Now ,go and interview four classmates at least.Write down the results. Then make a report according to the results.

(让学生真正动起来,去采访同班同学,学生的学习积极性达到高潮,真正体现了在学中用,用中学,而且听说读写各项技能都得到了锻炼。)
Step 8 Sum up
T: Boys and girls, your plans are exciting .I hope you have a good time .
Now,who can tell me what we have learnt today ?
S: 今天我们学了两个新单词babysit 与 camp ;还有语法:现在进行时表将来的用法。
(幻灯片展示本节课的内容,让学生读一读。)
Step 8 Homework
Make a survey about your family’s vacation activities and write a report.
教学反思:
这节课的教学效果不错,在整个教学过程中,贯穿着师生活动、生生活动、小组活动,大多数同学都能积极参与到活动中来并能运用所学语言知识进行交际,特别是Step 6多媒体教学手段的运用激发了学生的学习兴趣和求知欲望,表现出了很高的参与性,收到了较理想的教学效果。
但也存在着一些缺撼:首先,新单词传授后,没有很好地在课堂中给学生创造再次运用的机会。另外, 在课堂上我的语速较慢。这可能是我自己太低估学生能力的原因,我觉得这些学生和我不是很熟悉, 如果我讲得太快了的话,学生有可能不能接受。
在以后的教学活动中我将进一步去研究,去完善,努力改掉自己的一些缺点,争取在教学方面
