Dr Motoki Iwasaki, from the National Cancer Center, Tokyo, workedwith a team of researchers to carry out the study. He said: 'Resultsfrom human studies have been inconclusive. Our large-scale,population-based prospective cohort study is one of the first to includea wide range of tea intakes; women who drank green tea less than 1 cupper week to those who drank 10 or more cups per day. It found no overallassociation between green tea intake and the risk of breast cancer"

Speaking about the survey, Dr Iwasaki said, 'The other majorstrength of the present study was its prospective design, in whichinformation was collected before the subsequent diagnosis of breastcancer, thereby avoiding the exposure recall bias inherent tocase-control studies. 'Drinking green tea as a beverage is unlikely toreduce the risk of breast cancer regardless of green tea type and numberof cups'。
在谈到实验的时候，癌症专家Motoki Iwasaki赞美了实验在设计上的“前瞻性”，他说：“实验所需要的数据在妇女们的诊断证明(乳腺癌)出来之前就已经收集完毕，一定程度上增加了实验的真实性。”从而得出结论，喝绿茶与患乳腺癌的风险无关系。
