Good suggestions are always welcome, which will help us improve our development level. One customer is in an advanced state of prototyping for some equipment using our Intelligent LCD module. Their development team realized a win32 application to upload images, calibrate TP and use NAND user memory for the needs, with few mouse clicks.
For the first prototype, display module whose model is 5.6inch LCD module is selected, mainly because it should replace the old displays without big disadvantages in terms of size and performance. For future projects, 7.0" serial display will be more used.
In the development of low level library some problems occurred, which shall be dealt with properly.
1 The cut icon command: use command 0x71 to cut buttons and images on the screen. Sometimes the command does not operate as expected, unless the command is operated 2 times. Therefore, it is helpful in case this command had some feedback to inform of the command execution.
2 Configuration file: in general, the displays shall ring once the valid touch area is pressed, but the lcd module rings also if the user click an area outside the defined one uploaded with configuration file.
3 Brightness: Intelligent LCD module with 500 cd/m2 has more attractive looks than 250 cd/m2, but in the actual world economic situation also the price has great importance.
