QQ Turkish national flag carrier THY has cancelled its flights to some destinations due to volcanic ash cloud in Eritrea, the company said on Tuesday.The company said that the cancelled flights are Istanbul- Khartoum-Istanbul, Istanbul-Addis Ababa, Istanbul-Entebbe-Istanbul and Istanbul-Nairobi, Darussalam-Nairobi-Istanbul flights.
THY said they would continue to monitor volcanic activities and give information accordingly.
The Dubbi volcano, in the Southern Red Sea Region, erupted on Sunday. It sent an ash plume high into the sky, disrupting air traffic in the region.
