Does US see China as its enemy? That a long debated question – for decades analysts in both China and US have never stopped searching the evidences of such “threat theories”, with worries and clouts at heart.

In fact, it’s reasonable that US takes China as enemy considering China as an economy entity grows to the 2nd largest in the world, the its empowered defense strength, and its distinct ideologies as well as political regimes from US. And still the KEY fact that China usually does not follow the card that US the world’s superpower plays.

From the American framework, China is the No.1 candidate to take over US in contemporary age, however uninterested by China in doing so.  In fact, it is always the US’s convention to find an imaginary enemy in order to press further their own progress.

The core philosophy of the America’s global strategies is to erase the challenges that other countries posed to US. It is exactly based on this philosophy that US is highly cautious with the No.2 potential power in the world to take its position.

One counterstrategy in China is the conventional thinking that "more compromises and cooperation would trade back the friendships". Well, this arts may be useful in past few decades but definitely NOT fits in today’s China-US relations approach– simply because China is growing ever stronger.

Thinking this out, what still to be afraid of?

So try to change an angle – the American’s fears are understandable. And indeed, it is still a long way to go to built firmly the China-US mutual trust, so why be so overreacted with some dissents from America? The best way out is NOT to endlessly polish the twisting strategies against the US, but to save our time for self strengthen-ups.

So the predominant mission for China is to carry out the scheduled plan of self-building-ups, therefore to achieve the goal of promising Chinese people better lives, as it is only in this way that the question of whether US takes China as enemy is no more important.
