Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo met here on Monday with Hungarian Minister of National Development Tamas Fellegi, vowing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

Noting that China and Hungary have traditionally shared a friendship, Dai said that bilateral relations have been developing smoothly, despite great changes that have taken place in both countries and the world.

China appreciates the Hungarian government' s adherence to the one-China policy, he said, adding that China attaches great importance to the bilateral ties and hopes to further advance mutually beneficial cooperation with Hungary in various areas.

Fellegi said that the Hungarian government continues to pursue a policy of friendship with China and is committed to developing Hungary-China relations from a strategic perspective.

He noted that Hungary hopes to enhance cooperation with China in such areas as finance, aviation, infrastructure construction, communications, culture, education, science and technology, in an effort to boost the development of bilateral relations.
