Sixty-two passengers were injured when a private bus fell into a ravine in Northern Philippines early Wednesday morning, local media ABS-CBN News reported.

The vehicle was on its way to Olongapo City when the driver lost control of the bus after its brakes malfunctioned, the report said.

The injured passengers, who were identified to be employees of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, were brought to the James Gordon Memorial Hospital for treatment, ABS-CBN News said.
