醒起，我的灵魂，同着白日
尽每天的责任自强不息：

Thomas Ken (1637-1711)
English bishop and hymn writer
肯恩（Thomas Ken，1637-1711），英国教牧，圣诗作家。
肯恩正直敢言，曾为主教，并英王查理二世宫廷牧师。讲道时，常当英王面前指责宫廷淫佚奢侈等罪恶。但查理许为诤友。后为主教，因不肯对英王威廉及玛莉（William & Mary）妥协，得罪当权者，于1691年去职入狱。获释放后，在贫困中安度二十年去世。
在任温彻斯特学院院长（Winchester College）时，为鼓励学生祷告写了祷告手册（Manual of Prayer），其中载有早晚的祷告诗，只有“赞美真神”每篇的结束，成为今天教会通行的《三一颂》。
