1. 表示要把某物递给某人，意为：给你；拿去吧；这就是你要的东西。如：

A：May I have a look at it? 我可以看看吗?

B：Yes, of course. Here it is. 当然可以，你看吧。

A：Pass me the dictionary, please. 请把字典递给我。

B：Here it is. 给你。

2. 表示找到了要找的东西，意为：在这里；这不是! 如：

A：Where’s my cap? 我的帽子在哪?

B：Here it is. 喏，这不是!

注：Here it is. 常可与 Here you are. 换用，但若所谈论的东西为复数时，以用 Here you are. 为宜。另外，两者在侧重点方面也有所差别：Here it is. 的重点在东西； 而 Here youare. 的重点在对方。
