乔布斯与盖茨（图片来源于网络） 【搜狐IT消息】北京时间10月6日消息，据国外媒体报道，苹果联合创始人、董事长史蒂夫·乔布斯(Steve Jobs)辞世的消息公布不久后，微软联合创始人、董事长比尔·盖茨(Bill Gates)发表声明称，与乔布斯共事“是一种无上的荣誉”，他将深刻怀念乔布斯。长期以来，盖茨与乔布斯既是合作伙伴，也是竞争对手。
盖茨在发送给科技博客网站AllThingsD的声明中向乔布斯的家属以及好友表示慰问，并对乔布斯对世界的影响表示赞赏。

惊闻乔布斯辞世的消息我深感悲痛，梅琳达和我向他的家属以及好友表示真诚的慰问。
我和乔布斯近30年前就认识了，在此后的多半生中，我们一直是伙伴、竞争对手和朋友。很少有人对世界产生像乔布斯那样的影响，乔布斯对世界的影响将是长期的。
对于我们这些有幸与乔布斯共事的人来说，这是一种无上的荣誉，我将深刻怀念乔布斯。(阳光)

I’m truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs’ death. Melinda and I extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to everyone Steve has touched through his work.
Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives.
The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come.
For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it’s been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely.
