Always innocent, elegant, brilliant, arrogant,

I’d rather be a giant, adamant rock,

Planting on seaside, like a statue

I’d rather be hulky, and if,

Than to be invaluable diamond,

Found in piles in profuse mine

Where they’re yearned, snatched, swanked

by vanity, human actions.

I’d rather look ugly, deformed

Than of marvelous, superior Star of South Africa.

If I could live independent, brave and free,

I’d rather be a huge clumsy rock.
