Before writing this blog entry, I spent the whole day in Zhu Zhiwen's world, reading all the posts in his "fan bar" on Baidu and watching all the video clips featuring him on Youku. I'm not the kind of person who usually gets into the hype over stars, especially at my age, but I have been a dedicated fan since his audition on the talent show of "I'm a big star."
在准备写这篇博客之前，我花了一整天沉浸在有关朱之文的世界里：我读完了朱之文百度吧里的所有帖子，我看完了优酷上有关朱之文的所有视频。我并不是一个喜欢盲目追星的人，尤其是像我这把年龄。但自从看了朱之文参加“我是大明星”海选的视频后，我成为了朱之文的铁杆粉丝。
By now, it seems that everyone knows the story of Zhu Zhiwen's sudden rise to fame: we have watched the Youku video of him walk out onto the stage dressed in a shabby army overcoat; we have seen his humble, unpolished, middle-aged farmer-like appearance mocked by both the audience and judges alike. Then he began to sing the theme song of the TV drama "Romance of Three Kingdoms." And everything changed.
到现在为止，好像每个人都知道了朱之文迅速成名的故事：我们在优酷视频上看到，他穿着一个破旧的军大衣走上舞台；我们看到了他纯朴、不加修饰，一个典型中年农民的外表；我们还看到了当时观众和评委不屑的表情。但当他唱起电视剧《三国演义》的主题歌时，一切都变了。
I watched his first audition over and over without ever getting tired of it! It is incredible, and every time I watch it I am filled with the excitement and get the chills I had the very first time. The power in his voice and his interpretation of the song is without precedent. No wonder he got a standing ovation!
这篇海选视频我看了很多次，但从来都看不够。太不可思议了！每次看这段视频我都像第一次看时的样子，激动得起鸡皮疙瘩。他声音中所传达出的力量和他对这首歌的演绎可以说是无以类比的。怪不得现场的观众都起立鼓掌！
Zhu Zhiwen is a magnificent man with glorious talent. He is not singing for money or fame (not that there is anything wrong with that); as he says, he is singing for ordinary people in China. I love his sense of humor and I love his honest personality. His story is not over; his journey towards greater places is just beginning. I am crossing my fingers in hope that he has a bright future.
朱之文是一个非常出色的人，极具才华。他不是在为名利而唱歌（并不是说为名利而唱就不好），正像他所说的那样，他是在为中国的普通老百姓而唱。我喜欢他的幽默感，也喜欢他纯朴的个性。他的故事没有结束，他通往更广阔舞台的演艺道路刚开始。我在为他光明的前途祈祷祝福！

老张在英文书面表达方面是一个完美主义者。博客里的英文有一些是选自国外纯正的英语资料，还有一些是自己写的短文。对于自己写的东西，在上传前我必须要先让我的外籍译员（英语为母语）仔细校对润色。
这篇博文老外改动并不多，感到自豪之余，特整理了一下文中比较实用的短语和句子，和大家一起分享。其实我写英语短文最大的快感就是能把自己平时积累收集的地道句子恰当地用在英文写作中。
1. blog entry是博文的意思。注意，要想表达“博文”时尽量不要只用blog这个单词。Blog只是对博客的总称。
2. I'm not the kind of person who usually gets into the hype over stars，意思是我不是那种喜欢盲目追星的人。Hype这个词很实用，有大肆宣传的意思。比如说media hype就是“炒作”的意思。
3. rise to fame是成名的意思，如果说迅速成名，再加个sudden就可以了。
4. get the chills是起鸡皮疙瘩的意思。当然这个短语即可表示因惊恐起鸡皮瘩疙，也可表示因激动起鸡皮疙瘩。
5. without precedent是固定说法，是史无前例的意思。
6. standing ovation是固定说法，起立鼓掌的意思。
7. not that there is anything wrong with that，这句话不难，但极其地道。英语不是母语的人很少在口语中想到用这句。它通常是指说话者在表达观点后，突然意识到自己说的话可能会引起误会而附加的解释，可以翻译为“并不是说……就是错”。最著名的就是美剧“Seinfeld”中Jerry说的那句：I'm not gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. 在这句中，Jerry否认自己是同性恋，但又怕别人说他是反对同性恋，所以就用了这句。
8. I’m crossing my fingers是为某人或某事祈祷、祝福的意思。
