"China threat" has already been carved as a "horrible ghost," which can lead Asia into chaos once United States incanted. And right about the time, all the excuses and declarations that U.S. is responsible for Asian countries' security and U.S. should return to Asia seem to be the religionary ritual holding for driving the "ghost" away.


United States is the hometown of international relations theories and also the one that is best at playing geo-politics, through which the country achieved and maintains its super global position of today. During the last year, Americans could always turn China into weak position and stir up the discontented political mood of various countries accurately and masterly in the Southeast affairs.

As the reason that U.S. can tease those countries easily is it lead them go into a deep forest with dense fog of "China threat" it had prepared earlier and told them dangers may happen to them any time; and even worse, those countries are not clever and experienced enough to handle the situation but only ask help from the "big brother."


If things keep going on the current road, the Asia would become another European in the late 20th century, when the ever strong counties on this planet couldn't even manage their own destinies after WWII but become followers after U.S. and Soviet Union.

But there is a little difference between the current Asia and then Europe. The decline of Europe was began from inner evil competition, however, Asia is lead into a worse and mutual opposing position by a superpower.

Some analyses believe the center of politics and economy are moving to the Asia. But that may be too optimistic. One of the biggest problem is whether U.S. would let this happen as a country that is used to be the leader of the whole world. Possibly, the great developing trend would end with a "civil war."


However, the leaders in Southeast Asia seem to be less experienced for handling the issue of balancing multipolar powers in the unstable region. Once a war was started, it can only bring harm to Asia but keep the super leading position of U.S.

Therefore, China needs to look over the Asian situation more wisely in the critical period. Such as the South China Sea dispute, China should play the card of psywar to those disadvantaged countries in military, but not launch the military attack to them easily and spitcher the 70-year-old Philippine war vessel with a missile.


To resist temptation and not start war easily like someone else hoped is the biggest victory of China. And from this point of view, the traditional virtue of being gentle is the biggest soft power of China.


China has been advocating a peaceful world and a harmonious country, and now, China should keep doing this and trying to introduce the goals to the whole Asia.

Pursuing peace and harmony is China's self-requirement as well as the final strategic goal, and it should be the enlightment to all Asian nations, too.
