The global attention attracting third China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue has entered its second– the main subject for the meeting this year is “Building mutually beneficial economic partnership between China and US”. Four related topics are then under seriously discussion.

First is to boost the trade and investment cooperation. This includes pushing forward trades and investment in new industries. (Notes: the crucial factor inside is to remove policy barrier – for both sides.)



Second is to refine the financial system and to tighten up the financial supervision, including the financial reform, and the trans-border financial supervision.


Third is to deepen the structural changes and the development mode.



Fourth is to keep the economy development sustainable and balanced. This mainly involves the global macro economy situation and the challenges – the euro area's debt crisis, the impact from the Middle East and North Africa’s political shakes on the world’s economy, and the huge natural disasters in Japan.



(Notes: l, the most prominent condition is the stability of international economy when China-US  cooperation is stepping from mutual to global level, thus more mutual trust, communication, coordination are essential foundation among this.)



Other topics that light up the dialogue are – the strategic security, the anti-terrorist cooperation, the nuclear weapon issues in North Korea, Iran and Sudan.
