这是一部很适合入门者观看的旅行电影。影片不仅告诉了你，为什么人们喜欢冒险，也告诉你冒险的代价。我没想到导演能把这么一个沉闷的电影拍得如此有声有色，这就是大导演的功力吧。和片中的主角一样，我也是28岁那年将手摔断，还好我的结果要比他好多了，不过我们最终都选择向山峰挑战，算是殊途同归吧。他断了一只手都能攀登雪峰，这给了我很大的鼓励，毕竟我的手还康复了。

影片一开始通过并列的三个画面，向观众展示了人类特有的一些行为，比如观看比赛、体育活动、宗教崇拜等等。接着响起一段悠然的旋律，有人低声吟唱着：There  must be some freaking chemical in your brain that makes us different from animal.（人类头脑中一定有某种特别的化学物质，让我们和动物变得不同）这我在很早以前的博文中提到过，人类和动物的一个不同之处是，人类会把生命置于危险当中，并以此为乐。所以才有那么多极限运动。然而极限运动一定要注意安全，事故往往发生在你从一个级别进入另一个级别的时候，就算是你在同一个级别的运动中，也会偶尔发生事故，淹死的人都会游泳，而且游得都挺好的。




老实说，这部电影我是跳着看得，因为主人公出事后的经历，和我当年类似，所以唤起了我记忆深处的噩梦般的回忆，那是非常难过难受的一种感觉。影片中的断手过程只用了3分钟，实际上需要一个多小时，你想象一下吧。所以每次出行，甚至旅行中每天的行程，都最好通过网络告诉你的家人，并且不要一个人进行野外活动。我孤独川陵虽然也一个人玩，但我几乎不会一个人去野外，出事那次就是一个人。

不过，需要强调的是，即便是有危险，我们还是会继续下去，如果每天都在担心自己是不是存够了养老金，能体面地死去，那生的意义就变成为死亡做准备了。这部电影的影评更应该放在背包客入门的分类中。
