Thanksgiving is a day of reflection for me, and I was thinking about all the things I’m thankful for. Since Thanksgiving is on the 26th this year, I decided I’d share 26 things I’m thankful for.

So, in no particular order, I’m thankful that…

I don’t have to work today.

my work usually doesn’t feel like work.

I’m not overseas serving my country during the holidays.

others are willing to serve their country during the holidays.

I appreciate the peace and freedom I have since I served my country during the holidays.*

we have an administration that’s at least trying to advance human rights at home and abroad.

enough people find what I do valuable and support my being able to do it.

I’ve developed life-changing friendships and bonds with people built on trust and synergy. 

I believe in and love myself more than I ever have before.

I see a world of hope and possibilities instead of constraints and necessities.
