Korean Wave is causing trouble in Japanese homes as housewives whoare ardent fans of Korean stars neglect their families to set out tomeet their idols, Japanese daily Gendai said April 13.
It seems nothing can be done really to stem the new Korean Wave,with high-profile fans in Japan including current first lady MiyukiHatoyama and previous first lady Akie Abe。
"I've been a fan of Shin Sung-woo since 2005, and I want to see himperform," said Masako Arakawa, a 39-year-old Japanese woman, referringto the famous Korean singer-actor. "Though it is entirely in Korean and Idon’t understand Korean, it doesn't matter, as long as I can see himand his performance."
Japanese husbands whose wives are fans of Korean stars get intotrouble; a government staff became a part-time housewife to take care ofhis children while his wife was watching DBSK' live concert in Korea。
Why are Japanese housewives so captivated by Korean stars? "UnlikeJapanese celebrities, Korean stars do not look down on middle-agedwomen," a Korean media expert told the paper. "Due to the influence ofConfucianism, they respect their elders, and this is very flattering forhousewife fans."
“韩流”正在给日本制造麻烦，因为痴迷于韩流明星的日本主妇们为了一睹明星的风采或游览明星曾出演的作品的拍摄地而前往韩国，从而使日本家庭濒临 “解散”。
该报称，现在日本对于“韩流”简直无计可施，因为包括日本首相鸠山由纪夫的夫人和前首相安倍晋三的夫人在内的“高姿态”日本女性都是“韩流”明星们的疯狂粉丝。
“自从2005年我就是申成雨的铁杆粉丝了，我一直想看他现场演出，”今年39岁的荒川佐子谈起自己最喜爱的韩国明星申成雨时说道。“虽然都是韩语，我也不懂韩语，但只要能看到他，看到他的演出，我就心满意足了。”
家里有“韩流妻”的丈夫们这下开始手忙脚乱起来。某政府职员因为妻子去韩国看“东方神起”演唱会而成了需要照顾上初中和小学的子女的兼职主妇。
那么，日本主妇们为韩流明星疯狂的原因是什么？一位韩国传媒业的专业人士解释道：“韩流明星和日本艺人不一样，并不会轻视大婶粉丝，韩国艺人受到儒教的影响恭敬长辈，这让主妇粉丝们感到很快乐。”
