  如果让你说出这个世界上最畅销游戏的名字,你也许会说《超级马里奥》!或者是《侠盗猎车》!要不然就是《最终幻想》!其实这些都不是,它的名字叫《俄罗斯方块》!其开发者帕基特诺夫表示,他的确从未想到过它会如此流行。

  If you are asked to say out the names of the most popular games inthe world, maybe you will remind of Super Mario, or Grand Theft Auto orFinal Fantasy. Actually, they are not the most popular ones, the name ofthe one is Tetris. The researcher of the game, Alexey Pajitnov saidthat he never thought it would be so popular。

  1984年6月,在俄罗斯科学院计算机中心工作的数学家阿列克谢·帕基特诺夫利用空闲时间编出一个游戏程序,用来测试当时一种计算机的性能。帕基特诺夫爱玩拼图,从拼图游戏里得到灵感,设计出了《俄罗斯方块》。1985年,他把这个程序移植到个人电脑上,《俄罗斯方块》从此开始传播开来!两年后,英国人注意到了这款游戏。在经过长达三年的版权争夺战后,俄罗斯方块花落任天堂,成为后者游戏机上的招牌游戏,仅正版的gameboy版本就售出3000万份。

  In June of 1984, Alexey Pajitnov working in the computer center ofRussia Academy of Science editted a game programme in his spare time totest the function of the computer. He got afflatus from his belovedpuzzle, thus designed the Tetris. In 1985, he inputted the programme tohis own computer, thus Tetris become very poputer. After two years,Britishers paid attention to this game. After three years' fight on thecopyright, the Tetris finally belonged to the nintendo and become thefacia game, and the original edition had sold out for 30 million pieces。

  俄罗斯方块对机器性能几乎没有什么要求,除了智力不需要投资;国人一向强调“寓教于乐”,如果说能有什么游戏的内容足够健康、有益,那一定是智力类游戏。 很多人在沉迷于游戏之余,也可能会问,中国有没有可能产生这样的游戏呢?

  Tetris requires little from the machine except intelligence. Peoplein China always emphasize on endowing pleasure to teaching. If thecontent of the games are good, that must be a puzzle game. When manypeople are addicted to the game, maybe they will wonder why there is nosuch game in China?
