　　06:26 PM on 6/08/2011 This I agree. I am surprised that they even spent money on this aircraft carrier. It serves no real purpose. The southeaste­rn nations are all running to the US already China does not need a aircraft carrier to scare them off.
　　On a side note India is currently building 3 more carriers according to wikipedia. I think the Indians do not have their priority sorted out.

　　08:35 PM on 6/08/2011 You really don’’t understand things. They basically bought a hull cheaper than they could have manufactur­ed one. I’’m sure they learned a lot about aircraft carrier constructi­on from it as well. It has been totally rebuilt and refitted, so for all intents, they built it.

　　04:43 PM on 6/08/2011 I think the reasoning is that with this carrier, they will begin to build the kind of institutional knowledge that you have to have to run a carrier group. Then, when when there is enough of that knowledge built up, they will being to pair it with home-built carriers.
