好莱坞新规则：拒绝隆胸，回归自然

　　Plastic, it seems, is no longer fantastic. Even Hollywood, thatfactory of artifice, is demanding a return to reality when it comes towomen's bodies。

　　整形不再让人梦寐以求。即使是在好莱坞这种充斥着虚假的地方，对女性身材的要求也开始向真实自然回归。

　　Disney Studio's recent casting call for female extras for thefourth Pirates of the Caribbean film included a surprise announcement:'Must have real breasts. Do not submit if you have implants.'

　　迪士尼目前正给加勒比海盗4选临时演员，有一条要求很雷人：胸部不能是隆过的。如果做过手术，那就不要来申请。

　　Surgically enhanced breasts might still be considered sexy oressential by airhead starlets and glamour models, but the new buzzwordin America is 'authenticity'。

　　整形过的胸部，对于没什么脑子的小明星和模特，可能还是挺有吸引力的。但目前在美国，最新潮流是“真实”。

　　That's why, for women in the public eye, having fake breasts islooking increasingly less like a career move and more like careersuicide。

　　这就是为什么作为公众人物，隆过的胸部更多意味着职业毒药，而非职业灵药。

　　Another indication that fake boobs are going bust is the fact thattelevision shows such as Extreme Makeover and The Swan (TV whichpromised to nip and tuck ordinary women into goddesses) have beencancelled, while statistics from the American Society for AestheticPlastic Surgery show that the number of breast enlargements in America(a country which always blazes a trail in terms of cosmetic surgerytrends) fell from 365,000 to 312,000 last year。

　　另一个隆胸潮流不再的迹象，就是像《改头换面》、《丑小鸭变天鹅》(让平凡女性变身大美人的电视节目)这样的节目被毙了，美国整形手术协会的数据也表明，去年接受隆胸手术的人数从365，000减到了312，000，而美国一向是整形手术界的先锋。

　　In many surveys, research has shown that the larger the breasts, the more stupid a woman is considered to be。

　　Other women, meanwhile, consider women with large breasts as athreat - so having a surgical enhancement is a lose-lose situation。

　　其他女人则认为这样的女人对自己来说是个威胁：所以隆胸手术实在是即不利人也不利己。

　　Chantelle Houghton (from Big Brother, remember her?) almostimmediately regretted getting implants to boost her chest from a B to32E and admits, with no apparent irony, that they were 'taking over herlife', and she had to resort to physiotherapy to deal with the back painthey caused。

　　电视节目《老大哥》中的演员Chantelle Houghton表示她很后悔做了隆胸手术，称增大的胸部“占据了她大部分的生活”，而且她必须接受理疗以缓解太大的胸部导致的后背疼痛。

　　Even Sharon Osbourne, voted the queen of nip and tuck, saidrecently: 'I wish I'd never had my breasts done. It's like having awaterbed on your chest. I hate them. I want to have the bags taken out -then I'll put them on eBay.'

　　电视真人秀Nip And Tuck(讲述接受整形手术的人的生活和行业医生的节目)的票选最佳人造美女Sharon Osbourne也承认：“真希望没有做过手术。现在我感觉胸前就像放了一张水床。我讨厌它们。我想把填充物拿出来，然后放到eBay上卖掉！”

　　The more stories we hear like this the better, because then perhapsyoung women will realise that large breasts aren't the assets theythink they are - or Hollywood has made them out to be。

　　这种故事我们知道的越多越好，这样年轻女性们就会知道，丰满的胸部不是一种优势，就算在好莱坞也并非如此。
