辩论：今年泼水节还应该“泼水”吗(图)

　　The five provinces in the southwest China includingYunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Guangxi and Chongqing are suffering the severe drought due to the high temperature and rainless weather during this spring, which also directly caused the incredible long period of drought from last autumn to this spring in Yunnan Province. It’s a disaster, and it is a once-in-a-century drought. However, as the approaching of Songkran Festival, which is a traditional festival dated from thousands of years ago, some people question that: can we sprinkle the priceless water in drought days like these?

　　今春高温少雨天气，导致云南、贵州、四川、广西和重庆西南五省市持续严重干旱。其中云南秋、冬、春连旱，出现百年一遇旱情，大旱当前，西双版纳的泼水节又近在眼前了，比金子还贵的水能泼吗？于是，有人提出不过泼水节，但延续了上千年的传统节日，能因此就取消吗？

　　For: Songkran Festival is a very important traditional celebration for Dai, Blang and Palaung ethnic minority groups and is of the greatest meaning to them as the Spring Festival to the Hans. If the Hans never give up their feast for the Spring Festival no matter under what kind of adversities, it should be the same for people in these ethic minority groups to stick on their customs. “I guess no one has the right to intervene once the Dais consider it necessary to hold a celebration for their Songkran Festival。” Some people said. “We will advocate some proper ways which can not only realize the customs but also realize the water-saving. There is a large pool in the center of Songkran Square in Xishuangbanna, which we can sprinkle water in and make a re-use。”， Duan Jianhua, the governor of Xishuangbanna said。

　　支持：“泼水节”是傣、布朗、德昂等兄弟民族极为隆重的传统节日，族人对其的关注程度，丝毫不逊于春节。千百年间，各民族经历了无数的大小天灾，汉族人何曾因天人变故而不过春节？“傣族人民如果认为有必要过节，我想其他人没有权利干涉”。“我们不提倡大泼特泼，希望大家能节水、爱水、护水。西双版纳泼水广场有一个大池子，泼水时可以进池子中泼，这样可以重复利用水。”西双版纳州州长段金华如是说。

　　Against: Some are trying their best to search for the water resource while someone else are trying their best to waste it. The "token” sprinkle of water in the Songkran Festival is much beyond the per capital usage of local people. So why don’t we just keep this priceless water for saving lives? "The right to live is more significant than any feast”， said some netizens。

　　反对：“一面是受灾众生长途跋涉寻找生命之水，一边却在把大盆大盆的清水付诸大街之上，即便象征性地泼一下也会比当地人民每天象征性地喝一点多很多，把水留着救命不是更好？”也有网友认为：“再重要的节日也不能重要过人的生存权利”。
