Indonesian Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro said on Monday that Indonesia will receive 50 units KF-X/F-X jet fighters from South Korea as a result of cooperation of the two countries.

The technology of the KF-X/F-X jet fighter was equal with U.S. - made F-18 jet fighter and is better than Russian-made Sukhoi jet fighter and F-16 jet fighter, Tempointeractive online reported. "We are not doubt on the cooperation with South Korea which has brought benefit for us recently. It (South Korea) would like to transfer technology," he said.

But, the minister did not elaborate further when Indonesia would precisely receive the planes.

Director General of Defense Plan B.S. Silalen said that under the cooperation with South Korea, Indonesia provided 20 percent of the funds for the projects and the rest by South Korea.
